This is a fun, modern ring in a beautiful turquoise layered with teal. The color combination and the stylish simplicity of the ring make it a great everyday ring.
This is a combination I came up with using the Bullseye line of glass. Bullseye is located in Portland, Oregon and what I love so much about their glass is that the opaques are really more translucent and absolutely glow when the matching transparent is placed around it.
I made this bead myself in my Michigan studio using the lampwork technique. When I made the ring band, I hammered it from round wire to give it a modern look. Then I sanded It to remove all of the hammer marks. It is slightly square in shape and feels great on.
You might be wondering about a ring made from glass. It truly is very durable. This is a fairly thick piece of glass and I anneal it in a digitally controlled kiln while it is still very hot. This prevents the glass from becoming stressed from cooling unevenly. I rivet the glass to the sterling silver band so that it will not fall off. This ring should be able to withstand most normal use. Just treat it with some care as you would with any piece of jewelry.
This ring is a size 4.5. If you need another size, I will happily make one for you. Please just state your ring size when ordering and allow me up to two weeks to complete your ring.
